At Parlour Noir, we provide the canvas for your exploration, but the safety and well-being of our guests—and our adherence to municipal regulations—are the foundation of the experience.
1. Operational Status & Legal Compliance

Not a Public Venue: This property is a private Short-Term Rental (STR) as defined by municipal guidelines. It is not a club, lounge, or commercial event space, and it does not hold licensing as such.

No Admission Fees: We do not charge “cover,” admission fees, or ticket costs. Any payments collected are strictly for the residential rental of the premises and the amenities provided therein.

Liquor Policy: Liquor sales are strictly prohibited on-site. As this is a residential rental property, liquor consumption is governed by standard provincial and federal laws. Guests are responsible for their own beverages, and consumption must remain within the legal guidelines applicable to any private residence.
2. Prioritize Informed Consent
This property is a “judgment-free zone,” but it is not a “rules-free zone.” All activities must be rooted in clear, enthusiastic, and ongoing consent between all parties. We advocate for the SSC (Safe, Sane, Consensual) or RACK (Risk-Aware Consensual Kink) frameworks.
3. Equipment Safety & Integrity

Inspection: Guests are required to inspect all anchor points, chains, and specialized furniture before use.

Modifications: Do not attempt to move fixed structural equipment, remove anchors, or alter the hardware.
4. Hygiene & Sanitation

Sanitary Station: Please utilize the on-site wash station for hands and implements before and after use.

Surface Protection: We require the use of barriers/towels on the leather sectional and play surfaces during use to maintain the highest hygiene standards for future guests.
5. Neighborhood Harmony
To ensure we remain a welcome part of the community, we strictly enforce noise mitigation. The integrated sound system is calibrated to remain within legal decibel limits—please do not attempt to bypass these settings or use external high-output equipment.

Parlour Noir is Edmonton’s premier adult-only private rental space. We are a "spicy" social sanctuary designed for customization, exploration, and connection. While we offer a club-like atmosphere with high-end sound and lighting, we are legally a short-term rental property.
Yes. Parlour Noir is strictly 18+. All guests must be vetted and registered prior to entry.
No. We are a private rental venue. Access is by reservation only (Private Booking or Open Invite). There are no walk-ups allowed.
Yes. For safety and security, every single person entering the venue must be registered online. Hosts are responsible for their guests. Any unregistered guest found on-site will result in a $75 charge per person applied to the card on file.
Check-In: 5:00 PM
Check-Out: 11:00 AM
Early check-in or late check-out (until 3:00 PM) may be requested for a $100 fee, subject to availability.
Similar to a hotel, we require a credit card pre-authorization for incidentals:
• Standard: $500.00 (for groups up to 10).
• Scale: An additional $500.00 for every incremental 10 guests.
Funds are released following a post-event review of the venue.
Access is provided via a keypad code (set to the last 4 digits of the primary host's phone number).
To Unlock: Press the keypad screen until it lights up. Enter your code, followed by the checkmark (✔).
To Lock: Push or pull the door firmly and wait for the deadbolt to engage.
Garage: Digital access is provided to the primary host.
Rear: Parking is available on the pad in front of the garage.
Street: Available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please ensure guests park legally and respectfully.
If a private host chooses, they can open their reservation to the Parlour Noir community. You can purchase an access pass to join their event.
Community contributions go strictly toward the Base Booking Fees (Rental, Cleaning, Extra Guest fees). Unlike private rentals, community funds do not contribute to the host's "Event Surplus" and they are not profiting from your attendance.
Private rentals always take priority. If you purchase a "placeholder" reservation on an unreserved date and a host books it privately (without community access), you will be notified and issued a full credit for a future date.
The home is fully smart-controlled.
• Tablet: Use the on-site tablet to access the Govee App (lighting scenes) and Spotify (music casting).
• Voice: Simply say, "Hey Google" to control lights or play music in specific rooms.
Note: Please ensure wall switches remain "ON" for smart controls to work.
The Living Room TV is a Chromecast device. Connect your phone to the "SmartHomePN" WiFi, open your favorite streaming app (Netflix, YouTube, etc.), and select the cast icon to stream directly to "Living Room TV".
The thermostat is located in the upstairs bedroom hallway.
• Voice: "Hey Google, set thermostat to 22 degrees."
• Manual: Slide your finger up/down on the right-side edge of the thermostat face.
If you prefer touch controls over voice:
• Google Home: Tap top to Play/Pause. Trace a circle on top to adjust volume.
• Google Nest (2nd Gen): Tap center to Play/Pause. Tap Right/Left sides for volume.
We encourage exploration, but please protect our sanctuary. Waterproof blankets must be used for any "play" activities on furniture. Extra blankets are located in the living room chest.
To minimize waste volume, we have a wall-mounted device in the kitchen. We ask that all cans and plastic bottles be crushed before being placed in the recycling bin.
Charges may be applied for:
• Physical damage to furniture, structure, or specialized equipment.
• Missing items ("enhancement" implements, decor, etc.).
• Excessive cleaning requirements beyond standard sanitation.
• Unregistered guests or exceeding booked hours.
To avoid extra fees, please:
1. Strip used beds and leave linens at the foot of the bed.
2. Crush recyclables and dispose of trash.
3. Load the dishwasher and start the cycle.
4. Plug the tablet in to charge.
5. Say "Hey Google, I'm leaving" to shut down the house.
